  • Cancel a reservation
    1. Sign in to your Visit Jamaica Villas account.
    2. Select your account name and choose My Trips.
    3. Select the reservation you wish to cancel.
    4. From the Details tab, select Request Cancellation.

    Note: Ensure you review the cancellation policy specific to that property.

  • About refunds

    Your refund is issued based on the property's cancellation policy. If you cancel your reservation and are within the window to receive a 100% refund, the service fee will be refunded to you automatically when the cancellation is confirmed. Refunds take up to 10 days to appear in your account.

    If a booking was charged in a different currency, the payment and refund totals might vary based on currency exchange rates and bank-issued exchange fees. Your refund will be sent to the original form of payment. If that account is closed, please contact your financial institution.

  • About your reservation

    Your reservation details are available in your Visit Jamaica Villas Account. You can access your account via our website to view reservation information, including:  

    • The host's contact information
    • The cancellation policy for your reservation
    • The property’s address
    • The property’s safety features, such as Wi-Fi instructions, access information, and door codes.

    Note: Door code/access information is usually available 3 days before check-in.

    You will receive an email from us 3 days before your stay, with any information the host has provided. If your check-in date is within 3 days at the time of booking, this email is sent once you receive your booking confirmation email. If a host hasn’t provided us with these details, use your visit Jamaica Villas account to contact us.

  • Get help finding a property

    Visit Jamaica Villas has agents in-house to provide assistance in finding suitable properties that fits your criteria. We understand that everyone won't always be able to find what they are looking for quickly and we have a solution.   • Search for a vacation rental
    1. Go to visitjamaicavillas.com
    2. Enter your destination into the Where search box or select a region.  
    3. Select Check-in and Check-out dates. 
    4. Select the number of guests in your party. 
    5. Select Search

    Narrow down your search results 
    Once you have performed your search, select Filters to narrow down your results based on your preferences, including price, neighborhoods, and features and amenities.  

    You can also change the order in which properties are displayed. For example, you can sort by price (low to high or high to low).  
     
    If you want to focus on a particular area, you can zoom in and out of the map. To view a property on the map, select the blue pin to read information about the property.

  • Will I be able to get ground transportation and/or car rentals?

    Please remember that in Jamaica you must drive on the left. There are several car rental services
    available in Jamaica and most can be pre booked and available at the airport. Taxis can be booked online
    but tend to be expensive.

  • What voltage is used in Jamaica?

    Jamaica's electrical system is the same as the U.S.  110 volts / 50 cycles  so you will not need an adapter
    if you opt to bring items requiring electricity such as hairdryers or portable stereos.

  • Will my private villa have Internet access?

    Yes, 99% of the private villas in Jamaica have internet access.  You can check the "Amenities" option on
    each villa link to be sure your villa choice has Internet.  Please ask us to be 100% sure.

  • Will my cell phone work in Jamaica?

    Jamaica's cellular system operates on the TDMA and/or GSM network. If your cell phone is TDMA or
    GSM compatible and your provider has a roaming agreement with Jamaica's Cable & Wireless Mobile or
    Digicel Jamaica, you may use your cell phone in Jamaica.  Be warned however that the roaming charges
    can be very expensive. We recommend you check with your cellular service provider in advance to make
    sure of compatibility.  Alternatively, you may also rent a cell phone in Jamaica and set up a temporary
    account with Jamaica's cellular provider.

  • Does my villa have full staff?

    Most villas come with a staff of three including a cook, housekeeper and gardener/houseman.  Some
    villas have additional staff members including butlers, nannies, laundresses, and villa
    managers/concierges.  It is all dependent on your budget and selection.

  • Will I have to pay a damage deposit required?

    Most villa owners require a damage deposit to be paid with your final payment. The amount varies
    depending on the particular villa and this deposit is refunded to you after travel is complete as long as
    there is no damage to the villa or its contents.

  • When is the best season to travel to Jamaica?

    Most properties have two rates, one for high season and one for low season.  High season runs from mid
    -December to mid-April, and low season from mid-April to mid-December each year. Low season rates
    are usually cheaper so we encourage.

  • How much will I pay per person/per night?

    Visitjamaicavilla.com allows you to select according to your budget.  All rates are quoted in US dollars
    and subject to change - per the villa owners.

  • Is there a minimum night-stay?

    Most villas have a 3 – 5 night minimum year round, (this is dependent on the villa) and shorter stays are
    available if requested.

  • Why should I stay in a villa instead of a hotel?

    A villa is a free-standing private home that is made available for rent to vacation travelers.  Private villas
    range in size and offer additional space with living rooms, dining areas, patios or verandas.  Some private
    villas have their own private pool and amenities such as a chef, a maid and other staff. A hotel comes
    with the hustle and bustle of an apartment complex so if privacy, space and comfort are your
    preference a villa should be your choice.

  • Overview: Your Visit Jamaica Villas account

    A Visit Jamaica Villas account gives you access to a range of vacation rental information on our site. This includes viewing booked trips, communication with agents, and personal details.  

    If you don’t already have an account at the time of booking, you’ll be prompted to create one.

    Your Vrbo account

    Feature Details 
    Inbox Gives you access to messaging between you and the agent. 
    My Trips Allows you to view trips you have booked. Once your reservation is confirmed, you can access essential trip details. Trips are organized as follows: Upcoming Trips: This section shows your future trips.  Past Trips: This section shows trips you’ve completed in the past. Canceled Trips: This section shows trips you’ve canceled.  
    Payment methods This lets you view, delete, update and remove any payment method associated with your profile

  • Edit traveler profile

    Follow these steps to edit your traveler profile: 

    1. To access your Visit Jamaica Villas  account, go to visitjamaicavillas.com
    2. Select sign-in from the main menu.   
    3. Enter your account email address and enter your password.    
    6. Select  Sign in
    7. Complete two-factor authentication if requested.   
    9. Select Account details.
    10. Make changes in the Account details section.

  • Change or reset your Vrbo account password

    Resetting your password

    1. Select sign-in on the Visit Jamaica Villas Home Page.
    2. Select Lost Password
    3. Enter your email address.
      Note: This must be the email address you provided when setting up your account.
    4. You will receive an email with instructions to reset your password.


    Changing your password

    1. Log in to your account.
    2. In the account section, go to Account Details
    3. Look for the Password change section
    4. Enter your current password.
    5. Enter your new password and confirm by entering again.
    6. Select Save Changes

    Password requirements

    • Must contain at least one letter and one number
    • Must have 7-32 characters
    • Can’t use a previous password
    • Can’t contain commonly used terms such as ‘password’, ‘august’, or ‘Vrbo’
    • Can’t contain a series of numbers or letters such as ‘123’ or ‘1111’, ‘abcd’, or ‘aaa’

     
    The password reset link is valid for 24 hours. If you received the email more than 24 hours ago and you haven’t yet selected the link, follow the instructions above to resend the password reset email. 
    Note: It’s strongly recommended in this case to clear your cache and cookies before sending a second password reset email.

    If you don’t receive a password reset email, try entering a different email address. Also, check your junk/spam folder for the email if you’ve waited for longer than 15 minutes.
